Katherine Ryan is a Canadian comedian, actress, presenter, and writer available to book through the Champions Music and Entertainment agency. A champion of the British panel show her side-splitting wit and pop-culture insight make Katherine the perfect entertainment for any event. Katherine first appeared on Channel 4’s comedy series Campus. The semi-improvised sitcom was created by the team behind Green Wing and starred Andy Nyman, Sara Pascoe, Joseph Millson and Lisa Jackson. After her initial success, she appeared as herself on 8 Out of 10 Cats, the evergreen panel show on Channel 4.

Katherine became a household name after this and appeared on Mock the Week among others. In just a short time, Katherine went from winning the Nivea Funny Women Award to becoming an in-demand comedian filling clubs and arenas across the UK, Canada, and the USA. She has stamped her pedigree locally and across the pond performing on Whitney Cummings Just for Laughs 2013 Gala and at the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. 2015 saw the established actress and comedian take over as presenter of Hair on BBC Two.

In the same year, she was a panellist on Sky 1’s Bring the Noise on Tinie Tempah’s team. She also featured on the wonderfully wicked Safeword which saw guests roast each other in a series of competitive rounds. Ryan’s sharp wit made her a natural in this format, delighting audiences. Ryan followed this up in 2016 appearing on Taskmaster where guests had to solve a number of puzzles to win points and ultimately the competition. Katherine went on a sell-out comedy tour in 2016. Entitled Kathburn it was a success and saw the talented Canadian release a Netflix special called Katherine Ryan: In Trouble.

Katherine’s shows feature a lot of everyday life with her daughter and experiences as a mother a rich vein of her comedic gold. Katherine has recently joined comedian Jimmy Carr to host Your Face or Mine?. A reboot of the original this series it has been slated for two seasons and sees couples pitted against one another in several hilarious rounds of voting who is the most attractive among them.
